New vitamin E-infused products at Watsons

-

FROM long hours at the office, to weekend shopping at your favourite mall, a constant state of being in an air-conditioned space can contribute to some serious moisture loss in your skin, made worse by the harsh weather and polluted air outside.

Blackmores recently launched its vitamin E skincare range powered by nature to combat dry skin woes, exclusively in all Watsons Malaysia stores.

Watsons Malaysia managing director Caryn Loh said: “As the market leader in the retail beauty space, Watsons is proud to partner with Blackmores to bring a new addition to our skincare category.

“The Blackmores Natural Vitamin E Cream range is very popular overseas and we are excited to bring it to our shores, and continue to provide our valued customers with appealing beauty products at our Watsons stores.

“We are confident this range will do well among our customers, especially from a trusted brand like Blackmores.”

The range consists of Natural Vitamin E Cream + Lanolin, and Natural Vitamin E Cream in three variants – Skin Bright, Skin Barrier, and Firm & Smooth – each catering to different skin needs.

Free of artificial colours and fragrances, the vitamin E-infused range includes lanolin, avocado oil, apricot kernel oil, and vitamin A in its ingredients, which work in tandem with the skin’s organic production of vitamin E to provide additional protection and nourishment to skin cells.

The Natural Vitamin E Cream + Lanolin product comes in a convenient tube where the soothing cream acts as an everyday moisturising defence suitable for your face and body.

Meanwhile, the Natural Vitamin E Cream in the Skin Bright variant is formulated with licorice root extract, glabridin, and wakame seaweed extract, and aids the recovery of dry and dull skin.

Both the Skin Barrier as well as the Firm & Smooth variants protect and nurse dehydrated skin, as well as promote firmer skin and reduce the appearance of fine wrinkles.

The Skin Barrier benefits from nourishing plant-derived oils containing Omega-6 and Omega-9 fatty acids with added moisturising algae Depollutine, and Phytovie, a copolymer of conditioning oils.

The Firm & Smooth contains Dermcom, featuring snow crocus bulb extract for greater skin elasticity, and Tamanu seed oil, rich in fatty acids for plumper and smoother skin.

Blackmores Malaysia country manager Eddy Ong said: “At Blackmores, our belief in a natural, holistic approach to health inspires us to excellence in everything we do.

“Over two million tubes of Blackmores Natural Vitamin E Cream have been sold so far internationally, and we are now proud to launch this in Malaysia to provide both men and women with a skincare range that caters to their different skin needs.”

The launch last Friday also saw a beautysharing session featuring actress Syatilla Melvin, and medical doctor Aren Yong.

During the session, Yong shared how a potent antioxidant like vitamin E is important for everyone regardless of gender, before testing a skin-analysing machine on Syatilla.

Guests were also encouraged to check the diagnosis of their own skin at a dedicated skin-analysing section available at the event, to combat specific skin issues.

Yong added: “Every day, when you go through activities where you’re exposed to the sun, you [risk getting] sun-damaged skin, so vitamin E helps in the form of antioxidants to prevent premature ageing.

“For example, wrinkle formation, melasma, [and] freckles … these are problems faced not only by women, but generally men as well.” – Marion Fernando
