So­lu­tion to land is­sue?

> Se­lan­gor MB to an­nounce ‘good de­ci­sion’ to­day

SHAH ALAM: The gov­ern­ment has come up with a so­lu­tion per­tain­ing to the Seafield Sri Maha Mariamman Tem­ple is­sue, that would be an­nounced at a spe­cial press con­fer­ence to­day.

Sources told theSun the state gov­ern­ment will take over the land and hand it to the tem­ple.

Se­lan­gor Men­tri Be­sar Amirudin Shari con­firmed yes­ter­day that a meet­ing had been held with Min­is­ter in the Prime Min­is­ter’s Depart­ment P. Waytha Moor­thy, Deputy Ru­ral De­vel­op­ment Min­is­ter Si­varasa Rasiah, Se­lan­gor ex­ec­u­tive coun­cil mem­ber V. Gan­abati­rau and Sen­tosa as­sem­bly­man G. Gu­naraj.

“I have had a dis­cus­sion with them to find a so­lu­tion re­gard­ing the tem­ple is­sue,” he said in a se­ries of tweets yes­ter­day, fol­low­ing the meet­ing at the Se­lan­gor leg­isla­tive as­sem­bly build­ing.

“A press con­fer­ence will be held at the Se­lan­gor An­nexe Hall at 1pm (on Nov 29) to an­nounce the so­lu­tion that has been agreed upon fol­low­ing the meet­ing,” he added.

Amirudin said in the mean­time, all par­ties should avoid cre­at­ing any sit­u­a­tion that could dis­rupt pub­lic or­der, adding that the po­lice have in­creased se­cu­rity at the tem­ple.

Mean­while, Gan­abati­rau said the fate of the de­vel­op­ers One City De­vel­op­ment Sdn Bhd, which is wholly-owned by MCT Bhd, would also be known dur­ing the press con­fer­ence.

“To­mor­row at 1pm, you will have your an­swers from the men­tri be­sar di­rectly,” he said yes­ter­day.

The Kota Ke­mu­ning as­sem­bly­man said Waytha and Si­varasa would be meet­ing Prime Min­is­ter Tun Dr Ma­hathir Mo­hamad fol­low­ing the dis­cus­sion yes­ter­day, and that a “good de­ci­sion” would be an­nounced by Amirudin to­day that would help solve the tem­ple is­sue.
