Solution to land issue?

SHAH ALAM: The government has come up with a solution pertaining to the Seafield Sri Maha Mariamman Temple issue, that would be announced at a special press conference today.
Sources told theSun the state government will take over the land and hand it to the temple.
Selangor Mentri Besar Amirudin Shari confirmed yesterday that a meeting had been held with Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department P. Waytha Moorthy, Deputy Rural Development Minister Sivarasa Rasiah, Selangor executive council member V. Ganabatirau and Sentosa assemblyman G. Gunaraj.
“I have had a discussion with them to find a solution regarding the temple issue,” he said in a series of tweets yesterday, following the meeting at the Selangor legislative assembly building.
“A press conference will be held at the Selangor Annexe Hall at 1pm (on Nov 29) to announce the solution that has been agreed upon following the meeting,” he added.
Amirudin said in the meantime, all parties should avoid creating any situation that could disrupt public order, adding that the police have increased security at the temple.
Meanwhile, Ganabatirau said the fate of the developers One City Development Sdn Bhd, which is wholly-owned by MCT Bhd, would also be known during the press conference.
“Tomorrow at 1pm, you will have your answers from the mentri besar directly,” he said yesterday.
The Kota Kemuning assemblyman said Waytha and Sivarasa would be meeting Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad following the discussion yesterday, and that a “good decision” would be announced by Amirudin today that would help solve the temple issue.
