THE Great Eastern Live Great
Run saw runners throng the Bukit Jalil National Stadium on Nov 14. Described as “a must” for any running enthusiast, the event, which began back in 2012 with just 5,000 participants, garnered
15,000 participants.
This year, being the seventh successful year running, was extra special due to Great Eastern’s 110th anniversary. Hence, the running event offered more excitement via the Live Great Carnival.
From specially discounted vouchers for all visitors and participants, plus exclusive privileges for Live Great card members, not forgetting a food festival, lucky draws and consolation prizes that gave out awesome products. Kids had their share of fun too, being entertained with activities, carnival games and family-friendly recreation.
Deemed the first health and wellness integrated programme by an insurance company in the region - the Great Eastern Live Great Run just seems to get better by the year, attracting a bigger crowd, challenging serious runners.
The top male and female participants in the signature 12km run this year were Prabudass Krishnan and Chooi Fern Loh. Both took home RM1,000 each and clocked 37 mins and 48 secs and 46 mins and 49 secs, respectively.
