THIEVES NAB RENOIR PAINTING

VIENNA: Police are searching for three men on Wednesday after the theft of a painting by French Impressionist PierreAuguste Renoir from an auction house in Austria’s capital. The landscape painting Bay, Sea, Green Cliffs, valued at €120,000€160,000 (RM570,000-RM750,000), was due to go under the hammer this week but is thought to have been taken from the Dorotheum auction house on Monday afternoon. Police have released security camera images of three suspects, who are “probably professionals”. – AFP
