CosmoWorld 2018 would be able to grow from their experiences.

She also hopes to create more social awareness and values through Miss CosmoWorld 2018, while raising funds for the children of the Lovely Disabled Home in Petaling Jaya, Selangor throughout the pageant events, including the grand finals.

Meanwhile, a subsidiary title – Best National Costume – was announced during a recent press conference for the pageant, which also saw a presentation from each of the 28 contestants showcasing their distinctive national costumes.

The title was won by 21-year beauty blogger and representative from Malaysia, Evian Lee, who wore a hibiscus-inspired ensemble which she designed herself.

She said: “I think the national flower of Malaysia truly represents the beauty of women, and it symbolises love, passion and energy which are values I want to bring to my audience.

“Nothing makes a woman more beautiful than to believe that she is beautiful. It’s all about the mindset; if you believe that you are then you really are.

“Participating the pageant allows me to empower and encourage [other] women to be more independent, disciplined, and confident to build a position for themselves in society.” – Jason Lim
