Anya Taylor-Joy celebrates shared birthday
MOST people already know her as one of the most captivating young actresses of today. However, few know that Anya Taylor-Joy also shares a birthday with her boyfriend, musician Malcolm McRae.
On Saturday, the Golden Globe winner celebrated the occasion with McRae. The two of them turned 26 and 28 years old, respectively.
Instead of the expected glamorous party, the two marked the day with a wholesome weekend date. The actress shared some sweet photos to her Instagram account, showing the couple getting lost in the woods and out enjoying a ride at a theme park.
“16.04.94 [and] 16.04.96. Happy birthday to us baby. Thank you all for your love,” TaylorJoy wrote in the caption.
The post was greeted with plenty of birthday wishes from both fans and some of the couple’s high profile acquaintances.
“Happy birthday my two babies,” wrote Taylor-Joy’s Last Night in Soho co-star Sam Claflin. “HAPPY BIRTHDAY!” commented Nicholas Hoult, who will next be starring with the actress in the upcoming film The Menu.
Meanwhile, musician Maggie Rogers and Emma. director Autumn de Wilde both responded with red heart emojis.
The couple, who have been dating since early 2021, have also been taking their relationship more public. Taylor-Joy was accompanied by McRae last week as she attended the London premiere of her new movie The Northman, sharing a kiss on the red carpet.
Last month, in an interview with British Vogue, Taylor-Joy spoke about their shared interests.
“I said to my partner the other day that he was my hobby. I see reading as something that I have to do,” she said.
“He loved it because he’s the same. I’ve finally found someone who will happily sit in silence with me reading. We’re basically 80 years old and seven at the same time, and it works really well.”
