JAKARTA: Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) and the industry champions from Indonesia plan to position both countries as a preferred business events destination.

MyCEB CEO Datuk Seri Abdul Khani Daud said, to achieve this goal, the parties will target the international market and establish their presence on a global scale.

“Through networking and collaboration, Malaysia and Indonesia will be able to showcase our efforts and culture,” he told reporters at MyCEB’s networking event held in conjunction with his official visit here.

The event was attended by Indonesian Exhibition Companies Association chairman Hosea Andreas Runkat, Indonesia Convention Exhibition president director Ryan Adrian and Tourism Malaysia Jakarta director Junus Suhid.

“Together, we can be the business gateway, offering global organisations access to the fast-evolving hub for business events activities in the Asian region and beyond,” Abdul Khani said.

He said the networking initiative showed that the world is healing, and the business events industry has stayed resilient and resumed from where it left off at the pandemic’s onset. – Bernama
