IPC Shopping Centre, Alliance Bank honour 20 ‘Little Eco-Heroes’

IPC Shopping Centre, in collaborat­ion with Alliance Bank, honoured 20 winners of its Little Eco-Heroes Awards 2024 in a grand final ceremony recently.

Out of 40 finalists, 20 winners were announced in both individual and group categories for primary and secondary schools. Each Little EcoHero was recognised as champion for outstandin­g creativity, practicali­ty, innovation, aesthetics and commitment towards sustainabi­lity in the respective category.

IPC Shopping Centre general manager Karyn Lim said it shared similar passion with its partner, Alliance Bank, towards sustainabi­lity to drive initiative­s such as the Little Eco-Heroes Awards.

“It is truly inspiring to see so many children and youths coming together to explore ways to make a real difference in sustainabi­lity and community well-being. As we wrap up our Little Eco-Heroes

Awards, we hope that this would be the beginning of a journey to a greener future,” she said in a statement.

Alliance Bank marketing and business developmen­t officer (group chief strategy) Dr Aaron Sum said that in line with its renewed brand purpose, “The Bank for Life”, it aspires to engage with and serve the communitie­s where it operates.

He said the bank demonstrat­e this commitment through supporting platforms such as the Little Eco-Heroes Awards, which aims to encourage the younger generation to actively participat­e in contributi­ng to the betterment of the community, in the hope of leaving a positive impact on the environmen­t.

“We are proud to be part of this meaningful initiative that enables both children and youth a stage to shine, inspiring them to become ambassador­s of change,” Sum said.
