Tengku Arif Bendahara Pahang appointed Edotco unit chairman
KUALA LUMPUR: Edotco Malaysia has appointed Tengku Arif Bendahara Pahang, Tengku Muhammad Iskandar Ri’ayatuddin Shah Ibni Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al Mustafa Billah Shah, as the chairman of its subsidiary, Shahzan Alam Muda Sdn Bhd.
Shahzan Alam Muda is the only one-stop-agency responsible for all telecommunications infrastructure development in Pahang. Following Edotco Malaysia’s acquisition of Touch Mindscape Sdn Bhd from Touch Group Holdings in December 2021, edotco now holds an 80% stake in Shahzan Alam Muda.
The new chairman is poised to revolutionise its operations to become the benchmark for one-stop-agencies nationwide, driven by data and digital innovation.
Beyond streamlining permitting processes, Shahzan Alam Muda is committed to spearheading disciplined telecommunications infrastructure rollout in Pahang, ensuring equitable access to reliable digital connectivity while prioritising sustainability and green infrastructure. The company will support the state’s sustainability goals by introducing digital demand planning to identify network coverage gaps using advanced analytics, thereby facilitating infrastructure-sharing opportunities, eliminating overlapped telecommunications towers and enhancing the state’s landscape aesthetics.
Edotco CEO Adlan Tajudin said with the recent increase in minimum download standards by the government to 7.7mbps from 2.5mbps, the urgency to address connectivity gaps in Pahang has become even more apparent.
Tengku Muhammad Iskandar said he is honoured to lead Shahzan Alam Muda in its mission to accelerate digital connectivity development across Pahang.
