Malacca to host Malaysia Bike Week
The state will host Malaysia Bike Week beginning June 14, which will be held at the Malacca International Trade Centre for three days.
Chief Minister Datuk Ab Rauf Yusoh said the event, which will be held in collaboration with the Superbikers Association of Malaysia, is expected to bring together thousands of enthusiasts and owners of motorcycles of various categories, including high-powered ones.
He added that Malaysia Bike Week is also expected to showcase selected motorcycles, including some belonging to His Majesty the King of Malaysia Sultan Ibrahim.
“Malaysia Bike Week is a prestigious event, which will attract motorcycle owners and enthusiasts, from home and abroad, to see the various types of motorcycles up close.
“Various interesting activities will also be held throughout the threeday festival, including a lucky draw offering a main prize of a Proton X70,” he said at the Malacca International Motorfest and Scooterfest at the Malacca International Motor Circuit on Saturday.
Ab Rauf also said Malaysia Bike Week will be among large-scale events to attract tourists in conjunction with Visit Malacca Year 2024.
Earlier, he said the two-day Malacca International Motorfest and Scooterfest is expected to bring together more than 10,000 local motorcycle owners and enthusiasts nationwide, as well as from Singapore, Thailand and the Philippines.
He added that it will be one of the annual events in Malacca, which would not only attract tourists but also provide a platform for twowheeler owners and enthusiasts, especially youths, to meet. – Bernama
