THE FIND X SMARTPHONE HAS LANDED AND HERE’S EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
This month’s collection of must-have trends and threads features brand new Oppo smartphones, a couple of rad sunglasses and a Bluetooth speaker built into a 16-inch car tyre
OPPO celebrated the arrival of its latest flagship smartphone here recently. Dubbed the OPPO Find X, the Android-powered device stands out from its peers thanks to its distinctively sleek looks.
The Find X achieves a refined silhouette because of it seamless front and rear design as well as its smoothly inlaid 3D glass on the edge, traits which make it graceful to the eye and comfortable to the hand.
It uses an innovative sliding structure that completely disguises the cameras within the body of the phone. When not in use, the cameras are hidden, thus the sleek and uniform exterior. When activated, the camera opens automatically, unlocked and ready to shoot. It’s function and form well done.
The stealth 3D cameras not only include the combination of a 25-megapixel front camera and 16MP+20MP dual rear cameras but also a 3D structured light module with high-tech components. Integrated into the unit is a flood illuminator, infrared camera, proximity sensor, dot projector, receiver and RGB camera.
The 3D structured light module can project 15,000 dots, building a precise and complete 3D module of the user’s face to confirm facial recognition and unlock the phone. The O-Face 3D Face recognition feature, it’s claimed, has a higher level of security– apparently a false acceptance rate of 1/1,000,000 – than fingerprint identification.
It’s made possible by the hardware the flagship phone harnesses, notably a top-flight Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor, 8GB of RAM, not forgetting its generous 256GB internal storage space. The display is a bezel-less 6.42-inch Full HD+ dual curved unit. The 3,730mAh battery supports OPPO’s VOOC fast-charging via USB-C.
Available in Glacier Blue or Bordeaux Red, OPPO Find X is priced at RM3,699.
