Four lovely ladies

GRAHAM’S NEW CHRONOFIGHTER VINTAGE NOSE ART LIMITED TIMEPIECES WON’T BE EASY TO GET

Top Gear (Malaysia) - - Watch List -

Rewind to the 1940s and 1950s and, more likely than not, you’d come upon the display of gorgeous pin-up girls hand-painted on the noses of mighty bombers and fighter aircraft of the day.

Well, you may not find it necessary to go back in time because the world famous ‘British Master’ that is Graham is yet again reviving that glorious artwork from a not-so distant past. The Swiss-based, historic British timepiece purveyor just rolled out another series of its Chronofighter Vintage Nose Art Limited, this time featuring four pin-up girls, hand-painted, of course.

Called Belle, Linda, Lucia and Chloe, each has a distinctive persona. For instance, Belle is presented as the poster girl who celebrates the euphoric freedom and emancipation after World War II.

Linda, meanwhile, isn’t shy to hit the dance f loor, with no inhibitions about raised hemlines and eyebrows.

Red guitar in hand, Lucia definitely strikes a chord with nostalgic souls happy to have a flamenco soundtrack for reminiscing.

Last but certainly not least, Chloe is a study of Moulin Rouge in pink. Even if you weren’t a daring warbird pilot or bomber crew, you probably wouldn’t mind having any of them on your arm, or, in this case, your wrist. Perhaps you might want all of them, because each is featured individually on the dials of the four versions of the Chronofighter Vintage Nose Art Limited series, which is a signature collection of Graham.

In typical Chronofighter fashion, the timepieces are powered by Graham’s signature automatic chronograph G1747 movement with 48 hours of power reserve.

What may set this quartet apart is the choice of hand-sewn, calf-leather straps in blue, black, light or dark brown. Blue and grey dials provide the canvasses on which these exquisite and expressive pin-up beauties shine. As per past editions, only 100 models of each pin-up girl are available worldwide. Yes, they are quite special.
