Our latest shortlist of must have gadgets and fashion trends is headlined by Samsung’s new Galaxy Note9 flagship smartphone. Other interesting items include a special Lego Bond car and Camel Active’s new denim collection
The latest flagship smartphone from Samsung, the Galaxy Note9, has finally landed. Arguably Samsung’s most cutting edge offering to date, it made its local debut during a special launch event at the Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil last month.
“The Galaxy Note9 combines power, productivity, sheer endurance, and entertainment into one single device. Coupled with a strong defense-grade security feature, this is the go-to device that fits every need,” said Yoonsoo Kim, President of Samsung Malaysia Electronics at the launch.
With the Galaxy Note9, Samsung continues to showcase the legacy of this series that consumers have grown to love. With its large and much-loved Infinity Display via a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED Infinity Display, the productivity of its S Pen featuring Bluetooth Low-Energy (BLE) support, and its Galaxy ecosystem, the Note9 offers consumers the optimal mobile user experience that cannot be found elsewhere.
Leading this smartphone’s bill is the promise of all-day power and performance. This charge is led by its 4,000mAh battery, which is the largest ever fitted in a flagship Galaxy phone. Next comes its two internal storage options –128GB or 512GB. Supplemented by an SD card slot, the Note9 is 1TB-ready, allowing users to have peace of mind knowing there will always be enough room for favourite photos, videos, and apps.
Ensuring its unrivalled power and performance, the Note9 harnesses a cutting-edge 10nm processor and features support for the fastest network speeds available in the market (up to 1.2 gigabits per second) to stream and download without slowing down. The device also includes an industry-leading, Samsung-developed Water Carbon Cooling system and an on-device AI-based performance adjusting algorithm that ensures powerful yet stable performances.
Equally powerful is the Note9’s built-in cameras, featuring a 12MP dual-camera system at the back. On top of that come several complementing intelligent features, namely Scene Optimizer and Flaw Detection. There’s also an advanced noise reduction technology, which adjusts to light just like the human eye. No matter the lighting conditions, Galaxy Note9’s top-tier camera delivers a crystal-clear shot.
The Samsung Galaxy Note9 will be available locally starting August 24, commanding a recommended retail price of RM3,699 and RM4,599 for the 128GB and 512GB models respectively. The device can be had in Midnight Black and Metallic Copper with matching S Pen colours, and Ocean Blue with a Yellow S Pen.
