Perodua surprises the crowd with X Concept and Myvi GT

Perodua helped imbue the recently concluded Kuala Lumpur International Motor Show (KLIMS18) with an international show quality when it took the covers off the X Concept. The futuristic hatchback headlined the brand’s ‘Illumination’ themed exhibit, bringing daring styling cues like Y-shaped headlights and illuminated front grille to the Perodua floor.

“In keeping with KLIMS18’s Beyond Mobility theme, the Perodua X-Concept is much more than just a vehicle in the accepted sense. It is the manifestation of Perodua’s vision of the future, a vision where cars are lifestyle statements first, means of transport second, and bristling with connected technology,” said Datuk Aminar Rashid, president and CEO of Perodua.

While the X Concept certainly was a sight to behold, visitors were equally attracted to the Myvi GT, which also made its public debut at KLIMS18. Dressed in sporty items such as 17-inch wheels, Brembo brakes with drilled discs, Alcantara bucket seats and a flat-bottomed steering wheel, the Myvi GT is essentially a design and

engineering concept based on a car Malaysians can readily purchase from all Perodua showrooms nationwide. It will definitely inspire some owners to modify their cars in a similar fashion.
