Turn a can of tuna into an awesome meal!
All you need is an egg, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, and other flavouring items such as lemon juice and zest, parsley and mustard. Mix it all in a bowl and shape them into patties. Chill before cooking so they’ll hold their shape better. Pan-fry like a regular patty.
Baked Tuna Pasta
Turn your regular tuna salad pasta into a cheesy tuna pasta instead. Cook canned tomatoes with a bit of butter, add cooked pasta shells and preferred seasonings. Add sour cream and pour into a casserole tray. Top with cheese, bake in oven at 175°C.
Tuna Pizza Melts
This will probably be the simplest pizza you’ll make! For the crust, store-bought pita wrap would work fine. Top with tomato pasta sauce, Parmesan cheese, tuna, olives, chilli flakes and a drizzle of Japanese mayonnaise. Bake in oven at 175°C.
Stir-fried Rice with Chilli Tuna
Who can turn down a hot bowl of fried rice? For this, choose a spicy tuna variation and add some frozen vegetables, soy sauce and spring onions to the stir-fried rice. Top with fried egg and you have yourself a hearty meal.
