The long-standing partnership between Marriott International and YTL Hotels further deepened with the recent signing of Memorandums of Understanding in which the two parties agreed to develop two new luxury hotels in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia under the JW Marriott and the EDITION brands, and an EDITION and a W Hotel in Niseko Village, Hokkaido.

Commenting on YTL Hotels’ growth, its Managing Director for the YTL Group of

Companies, Tan Sri (Dr) Francis Yeoh, said: “Our partnership with Marriott is important not only because Marriott International is the largest hotel group but they are also very consistent in their approach, without taking shortcuts. YTL is always looking at very long-term business models and perspectives and our relationship has borne great results and experiences in which we have also learnt to complement Marriott’s strengths through luxury, retail and dining experiences, which we have been doing with our malls.”
