-

The joint Christmas celebrations of Unique Construction and Development Malta with STK Europe Limited were held at Villa Arrigo on 22nd December. The event celebrated another successful year for both companies, with some 500 members of staff and guests attending. The annual drinks at Cassar Ship Repair were held on the 28th December with some 800 invitees, celebrating yet another successful maritime year.

Both events also hosted art exhibitions (a total of close to 90 paintings) by Prof. Victor Grech, the Chairman of Beating Hearts Malta. This is an independent non-profit Foundation established primarily to support the needs of parents having children born with heart disease, as well as those of adults with these conditions. Half of the proceeds of these exhibitions will be donated to the Foundation, and will be used to part-fund the purchase of a new heart ultrasound machine at Mater Dei Hospital. Donations toward this cause were also raised from the guests during the events.
