Altaro expands its European operations, appoints EMEA Vice President of Sales
Maltese software company Altaro plans to open first international office in the UK
Altaro, a Maltese software company specializing in backup and recovery solutions for businesses, has announced its plans to expand into Europe. The European Commercial team will be guided by Colin Wright, who has been appointed the company’s Vice President of EMEA Sales.
“With a significant portion of our 30,000 customers from the UK, Germany, Austria and other European countries, we felt that the time was right to invest in our European operations by appointing a seasoned sales professional with a proven track record of commercial success within Europe,” commented Stephen Chetcuti Bonavita, cofounder and VP of WW Sales & Marketing. “Coupled with opening our first international office in the UK, these are important steps in positioning ourselves as a recognized brand in the backup software industry.”
Mr Wright has more than 20 years’ experience in the technology sector, with a strong track record for growing sales for a number of technology companies. He has created successful EMEA sales operations for a range of international software companies including Veeam Software, Vizioncore Inc, Scriptlogic Corporation and Embotics Corporation. More recently, he was a Director at MTI Europe, Head of Sales at 2e2 and Senior Channel Director at Atlantis Computing Inc. Colin will be based in Altaro’s UK office, which will be established strategically to foster Altaro’s European expansion.
