Huge win for San Gwann over Ghaxaq

San Gwann registered a huge win against minnows Ghaxaq when they hammered them 60 in the first match at the Sirens Stadium.

The goals came from Williams Abeeb 1,3, Josef Cutajar 9’, Mark Attard 52’ , Stacy Vella 57 and Nezar Abouaishia in the 70th minute.

Zejtun Corinthians remained at the top of the table when they beat Marsaxlokk by two goals to nil. Anthony Ewurum and Kunpei Tanaka scored on 31 and 88 minutes. Qrendi kept up the pace with a 2-0 victory over Attard with Dylan Zarb and Giovanni Galea scoring on 64 and 76 minutes respectively.

Swieqi United and Zabbar St Patrick shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw at the Charles Abela Stadium while St Georges registered their second win of the season when they beat Mgarr United by two goals to one at the Luxol Stadium.

Lydin Camilleri opened the score on 47 minutes with Dylan Caruana doubling on 58 minutes. Matthew Agius reduced the dficit on 75 minutes.

Siggiewi continued their positive run with a 3-2 victory over Melleiha at the Sirens Stadium. Sam Vella scored a hat trick for Siggiewi with a brace by Shamison Farrugia replying for Mellieha.

In the Friday night game Birzebbuga beat Gudja United 2-0 courtesy of a brace by Ronnie Celeste at the Luxol Stadium.
