Almost 30 of the top ICT companies in Malta have taken part in this year’s ICT Students’ Association Industry Expo 2016. This event, which was held on Saturday, 29th of October was organised for the third time and once again it served as an exceptional opportunity to connect students with the ICT Industry.
The ICTSA Industry Expo was a beneficial event for both companies and students. Students had the opportunity to meet future employers and discover possible new career paths. They also had the chance to learn about different options and wide variety of opportunities the industry has to offer. In this way, students were given more exposure to the industry, which can be fruitful when make their choice of the right environment they wish to pursue with their particular skills.
At the same time, companies were given an occasion to meet with prospective ICT professionals who could well be the right employees for their respective jobs. Local ICT companies are rapidly expanding, thus seeking to employ talented students who satisfy the demand for their services, as well as provide them with fresh ideas. Unfortunately, the supply is much less than their demand and therefore occasions like this can guide them to target the right professionals whom they will require.
