Malta Wildlife Photographer of the Year Competition 2017
Heritage Malta through the National Museum of Natural History is launching a wildlife photography competition with the aim of promoting the island’s biodiversity. This initiative is being organised in response to the increasing number of wildlife photographic enthusiasts.
The competition is open to all Maltese and non-Maltese individuals and is subdivided into different categories. Participants may submit up to five images in each category and must portray plants and animals found in the wild state on the Maltese Islands. Both colour and monochrome photos can be submitted. Entrants to the competition must be aged 14 or over on the closing date. An entry fee of €10 for a total of up to 10 images submitted will be charged.
All photographs will be judged by a panel of professional or well-renowned wildlife photographers. The closing date for submission of photographs is 30 April.
Following the awards ceremony at the National Museum of Natural History in September, a two-month exhibition of the winning images will be held at the mentioned museum in Mdina.
