Dark Tales of Fort St Angelo

-

The de Nava family was under threat when the Castellan’s mistress threatened to expose their affair. As a consequence, she was sealed in Fort St Angelo’s dungeon. Subsequently rumours spread that a Grey Lady was haunting the Fort... until present day.

Following the success of the Dark Tales series, Heritage Malta will be organising another animated tour based on tales of mystery and the supernatural. This time Fort St Angelo will take centre stage, since this gem of Maltese cultural heritage also has a number of mysteries and dark tales entwined within its magnificent history.

The legend of the Grey Lady, the firing of Ottoman soldiers’ heads across the Grand Harbour during the Great Siege in 1565, and the story of Fra Giovanni Francesco di San Clement, the only knight known to have been executed within the Fort’s walls, are among the stories that will feature during this animated tour of Dark Tales of Fort St Angelo.

This event will be held on Friday 28th April between 19.30hrs and 22.00hrs. To ensure that visitors enjoy this eerie night at the Fort, only a limited number of tickets are available for this event. Participants must be 16 years or over.

Tickets can be bought online, http://shop.heritagemalta.org, or from all Heritage Malta sites and museums for the price of €15 for adults and €12 for HM members/seniors/students.
