Over 850 students to participate in first MCAST Skills Challenge
Between 10 and 12 April 2017, MCAST will be holding its first MCAST Skills Challenge. Over 850 students will compete in 65 different challenges in their respective fields of study. Challenges will be set to participants on the day, setting the ground for students to flaunt their skills and talents in various areas, including ICT, Creative Arts, Applied Sciences, Hair and Beauty, Social Care, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, Media Production, Business management, and many more.
Challenges will take place in various areas of the MCAST Main Campus in Paola. Professional judging teams made of MCAST lecturers and industry specialists will assess competitors live against pre-defined criteria. Winners will be awarded medals, while all participants will be given official certificates. Industry is backing this event through sponsorship as well as through their input in the preparation of challenges and judging process.
Apart from serving as a platform for MCAST students to show off their abilities, the MCAST Skills Challenge will be open to the public. Anyone interested in getting insight into the practical work that goes into MCAST vocational courses should not miss this event. The MCAST Skills Challenge is a fantastic opportunity for prospective students and anyone wishing to further their skills, to learn about different study programmes available at MCAST.
