Cynical Neptunes recover from an early scare

- Stewart Said Neptunes: Sirens: Referees:

Sean Gravina scored the only goal for Neptunes.

Miguel Zammit reduced the margin to one goal, but veteran Clint Mercieca made it 4-2 with a shot from an ideal position. But Neptunes managed to finish the session draw thanks to two splendid goals by the ever present Niki Lanzon.

After the restart, the game took another twist, as Neptunes started dictating play, taking advantage of the mistakes and lack of aggressiveness by the Sirens players. A brace by Jordan Camilleri gave Neptunes the advantage, and Jeremy Abela confirmed his team’s superiority by scoring an opportunistic goal from the centre and another one from a man-up.

Goals kept coming for Neptunes in the last session, with Jeremy Abela netting his personal hat-trick with a splendid goal, as Maslovar’s team scored another two goals, with Sirens only scoring two goals late in the game after practically two sessions.
