- Gerald Fenech

Three teams will fight out the championship, promotion and play off places after this weekend’s results in this Division. These teams are Swieqi United, Gudja United and St Lucia.

St George’s kept up their faint playoff hopes alive to stave off automatic relegation when they defeated Marsaxlokk by two goals to nil in the first match at the Luxol Stadium on Sunday.

Bobby Ray Vaughan scored both goals on 32 and 73 minutes.

Attard also registered an important win in their hopes to garner the playoff spot when they beat Luqa St Andrews by a Kurt Zahra goal scored on 21 minutes in the first match at the Centenary Stadium on Saturday.
