Maltese family chosen to give service at the IX World Meeting of Families
Jesmond Magro, together with his wife Joanne and their daughter Grazia, from Żabbar, members of the Disciples of Jesus Community and leaders of cells of evangelisation, have been chosen to represent the International Organism at the Service of the Parish Cells of Evangelisation (IOSPCE) during the IX World Meeting of Families being held during this week in Dublin, Ireland.
The meeting will consist of three main parts: first the Congress of Families on the theme of ‘The Joy of Love’ (Amoris Letitia); the Festival of Families, which over 80,000 people from all over the world are expected to attend; and the concluding Mass celebrated by Pope Francis.
Throughout the week, different international movements, associations, communities and methods of service will be sharing their family experience from different stands especially dedicated to families.
The Magro family, who can communicate in various languages, will be meeting people attending the meeting to share their experience in the cells of evangelisation and to give information on the Parish Cells of Evangelisation and the International Organism (IOSPCE), which was recognised by the Holy See three years ago to promote this method of parish evangelisation within the Catholic Church.
