A group of 20 new employees recently paid a visit to BOV Centre in Santa Venera to meet Chief Executive Officer Mario Mallia. These new entrants who will be deployed at different posts across Gozo were accompanied by Horace Laudi, Executive BOV Gozo Region.

This one-day visit was intended to provide the new BOV employees with an overview of the Bank’s structure and modus operandi.

The group commenced their visit to BOV Centre with a meeting with the CEO Mario Mallia. Welcoming them to the Bank, Mr Mallia explained that, “Today, more than ever before, Bank of Valletta offers different career paths for its employees. We are committed to invest in your growth through Training Programmes designed to support you across the different functions offered by the Bank.”

Afterwards, they met the Chief Operations Officer, Mr Ernest J. Agius. During their day, the group paid a visit to various units within the Bank, including the Card Embossing team, the ATM Nightsafe Deposit Centre, as well as the Bank’s Treasury team and Human Resources Unit.

Speaking about the initiative, Horace Laudi expressed his satisfaction at the outcome of the visit. “This event served to get our new members better acquainted with the manner in which we operate at Bank of Valletta, and what is the contribution of the different functions within the Bank. In this manner, they are better able to appreciate their own contribution in the bigger scheme of things.”
