Although for a whole hour with ten men, Gudja were still godd enough to beat Qrendi 3-2 in a highly entertaining match.

Gudja were in front after only eight minutes play when Sergio Hili scored from close range.

Qrendi were however back in business twelve minutes later with a Jonathan Silveira Da Silva beauty from outside the area.

Gudja’s chances looked bleak on 32 minutes when Miguel Attard received a straight red.

However Gudja kept the pace with their opponents and just before the break took the lead when Kooh Sohna was tripped by goalkeeper Pace and from the penalty spot Jackson Lima made no mistake.

Two minutes past the hour Gudja increased their lead when in a fast break Raphael Kooh Sohna headed past the onrushinh goalkeeper.

Late in the game Qrendi pulled one back through Kenneth Abela.
