Luxol and Swieqi United still on top
Luxol and Swieqi United continue keep their positive momentum, as they both have full points from their first four matches. Luxol had a 14-2 win against their own Under 19 squad, while Swieqi United had a 4-2 win against the University of Malta Students Futsal Team.
The Universitarians under the guidance of coach Clayton Felice are progressing and settling down after the complete change from the last season. Meanwhile, Swieqi United under player and coach Boycho Marev are confirming themselves as one of the contenders for this season.
The Universitarians broke the deadlock after seven minutes played, through captain Neil Cauchi. Eventually Swieqi United turned the score in their favour and scored two goals through Boycho Marev and Andre Ciancio.
Six Minutes after the break, Swieqi United added another goal through Stefan Camilleri. Three minutes later the Universitarians came back and reduced the arrears through Daniele Degennaro.
In the last minute, Leonardo De Souza scored the fourth and decisive goal, giving Swieqi United a 4-2 win.
Birkirkara had their second consecutive win, this time beating Swieqi United U21 with the end result of 10-1.
Valletta with a missing game due to their participation in the UEFA Futsal Champions League, made it three wins in a row after beating Tarxien Rainbows 8-1. Finally Pietà Hotspurs won against UM Futsal Academy with the score of 11-5.
