‘Several’ people caught breaking traffic laws in Christmas Eve police inspections

A number of people were caught in breach of traffic regulations during inspections carried out by the police on Christmas Eve.

The police did not give the precise number, but said that “several” had been caught. In all, 350 cars were stopped by officers in Żabbar, Żejtun, Marsa, St Paul’s Bay, Buġibba, Sliema and St Julian’s.

Among the contraventions were driving without a valid licence, driving without insurance, driving without a seat belt and having an invalid licence.
