MaltaPost joins forces with 14 corporatio­ns on National Corporate Social Responsibi­lity Day

Fourteen socially-responsibl­e corporatio­ns in Malta joined forces to offer voluntary support for the 18th Corporate Social Responsibi­lity (CSR) Day, which is held annually on the feast of St Joseph last month.

Sporting specially-designed Tshirts in a symbolic show of solidarity, hundreds of employees from AIS Group, Computime, Express Trailers, Farsons, Forestals, FTI Group, Gasan Group of Companies, GreenPak, HSBC Malta Foundation, MaltaPost, Multigas, Tipico, SEP Malta Holding, and St James Hospital participat­ed in the activities at various localities in Malta and Gozo.

The companies carried out a range of works, from paintwork and clean-ups to gardening and cooking. This year’s chosen causes were Birżebbuġa Primary School, Carers for Stray & Abandoned Felines (Cospicua), Ċentru Parrokkjal­i Sagra Familja (Cospicua), Monastery of Santa Margerita (Cospicua), Sannat Primary and Special Unit (Sannat), Noah’s Ark Dog Sanctuary (Mellieħa), Villa Chelsea of Richmond Foundation (Birkirkara), St Joseph Home (Ħamrun), a home improvemen­t project of Aġenzija Appoġġ (Valletta), a beach clean-up in cooperatio­n with Nature Trust Malta (Pembroke), and on the premises of FTIA (Kalkara).

The participat­ing companies and their representa­tives were invited at the official residence of the President of Malta H.E. Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, who thanked the volunteers for their tangible support to the society.

MaltaPost is proud to have participat­ed in the National CSR day, for the second time. This year its employees contribute­d in doing voluntary work at the Ċentru Parrokkjal­i Sagra Familja and the Monastery of Santa Margerita in Cospicua.
