Maltese Trap and Skeet Athletes competing at European Championship Shotgun
The Maltese Trap and Skeet Athletes will be competing at the European Championship Shotgun, which will be held at the Trap Concaverde Shooting Club in Lonato Del Garda, Brescia, Italy from 03 September to 17 September 2019.
This will be the year’s last competitive stage in an International event before the ISSF World Cup Final which will be taking place from 09 October to 14 October 2019 in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates.
The Malta Shooting Sport Federation has included a record number of fourteen Athletes to form part of Team Malta, with Senior, Junior and Female Athletes competing in this Championship.
Mariah Busuttil and Mikaela Galea will be the first competing in the Trap Women Junior event. The Trap Men Athletes are William Chetcuti, Brian Galea and Christopher Vella while Nico Sciberras will be competing in the Trap Men Junior event.
Matthew Busuttil and Carmel Grech will be shooting in the Trap Men MQS extra.
The Skeet Men Athletes are Clive Farrugia, Bozhidar Vasilev Dimitrov and Marcello Attard, whereas the Skeet Men Junior Athletes are Marlon Attard, Liam Sciberras and Matthias Azzopardi.
On the 13 SEP and 14 SEP there will be the Qualification and Finals in the Skeet Men and Skeet Men Junior Events.
8 Quota Places for the 2020 Olympic Games Tokyo will be awarded according to the Qualification System.
Only a total of 360 Athletes will be able to compete in the 15 shooting events across the Olympic disciplines.
