-

A man who is on the UK’s most wanted list and who was found in Malta last year, was extradited to his home country last Sunday, the police said in a statement.

“On Sunday, 29 March, the Maltese authorities were involved in an operation whereby Christopher Guest More Jr was moved from the Corradino Correctional Facility to Malta International Airport to be extradited to the United Kingdom, aboard a flight coordinated by the British authorities.”

Guest More is wanted by Cheshire police for the murder of cannabis farm owner Brian Waters in June 2003. Three other men John Wilson, 69, James Raven, 60, and Otis Matthews, 41, are all serving life sentences for the murder. Waters was tortured and beaten to death in front of his two adult children, who were forced to watch the murder at gunpoint. Together with the other men, More is accused of launching the attack at a remote property in order to demand money.

The British authorities sent an aircraft to Malta specifically for this extraditable person who was considered as one of the most wanted persons in Europe and the United Kingdom.

“The Malta Police Force arrested Christopher Guest More Jr on 6 June 2019 following a European arrest warrant. He lost a long legal battle not to be extradited to his country. The operation was carried out under strict security measures with the involvement of the police force, the Correctional Services Agency and the Armed Forces of Malta. Aviation Security Malta (AVSEC) also participated in the coordination of the operation.”
