Another film production filmed in Malta – ‘Jet Ski’

Jet Ski is a UK production currently shooting in various locations around Malta and at the Malta Film Studios. This production has a budget of €5 million, with €2 million being spent in Malta. The theme of this production is Action/ Thriller.

Minister for Tourism and Consumer Protection Julia Farrugia Portelli and Malta Film Commission­er Johann Grech visited the production whilst shooting at the Malta Film Studios, where they met the producer and director of the movie.

Minister Farrugia Portelli, who was shown around the set by film commission­er Johann Grech together with Simon Sansone, the local assistant producer of this film, expressed her satisfacti­on that Malta is once again being chosen to film another internatio­nal production. She said that the whole production is being filmed in Malta. Minister Farrugia Portelli explained that 85% of the crew are Maltese and praised the fact that this production will be filmed in more than one place in Malta, which include the Malta Film Studios in Kalkara, Ċirkewwa, Mellieħa and Għajn Tuffieħa.

Film Commission­er Johann Grech said that it is satisfying to see more production­s shooting in various locations around Malta. This production involves around 100 crew in Malta with another 120 Maltese extras. “I am positive that Malta will keep on attracting production­s of different genres from different countries, and we will continue to strengthen the industry.”

Director James Nunn said that his first experience in shooting in Malta is going brilliantl­y.

The film Jet Ski is expected to be released in cinemas in November of next year.
