Second round of National Karting Championsh­ip

On Sunday 11th and Sunday, the 18th of July Island Karting Club, Karting Club Malta and the Malta Motorsport Federation organised the 2nd Round of the National Karting Championsh­ip at the La Reve Racetrack in Hal Far. This second round was sponsored by Joem Auto Parts, local agents of Bosch spare parts, IADA, Filtron snd TOTAL lubricants.

5 of the 6 classes were held on Sunday the 11th and the following were the results.

The Entry-Level class was won by Mason Barun followed by Ayrton Jon Tonna in 2nd place and Zane Pace in 3rd place

60cc Class was won by Daniel Abela followed by Kyle Micallef in 2nd place and Jacob Micallef in 3rd place. The fastest lap in this class was done by Daniel Abela on Kart number 49 in 44.369 seconds, averaging a speed of 73.02 KPH.

Iame x30 class was won by Kyle Mercieca followed by Duncan Micallef in 2nd place and Ryan Borg in 3rd place. The fastest lap in this class was done by Duncan Micallef on Kart number 302 in 40.657 seconds, averaging a speed of 79.69 KPH.

Junior 125cc class was won by Kieran Galea that was followed by Kian Gauci. The fastest lap in this class was that of Kieran Galea on Kart number 272 in 41.620 seconds, averaging a speed of 77.85 KPH

Vortex Rok GP class was won by Micah Scicluna followed by Jamie Mangion in 2nd place and Trevor Muscat in 3rd place. The fastest lap in this class was that of Micah Scicluna on Kart number 339 in 40.342 seconds, averaging a speed of 80.31 KPH

The remaining class of the 2nd Joem Autoparts Round, the Rotax Max Class was held on Sunday 18th of July. This class was won by Nicky Gauci followed by Owen Mangion in 2nd place and Joseph Mifsud in 3rd place.
