PN committed to improving the lives of persons with disabilities

-

The Nationalist party reaffirmed its commitment regarding the rights, needs and aims of persons with disabilities in Malta.

In a statement in commemoration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD), the PN said that this year, the emphasis will be shown through a National Conference with the theme of, “Take the reins into your own hands,” which will be organized tomorrow, Saturday, where PN will listen and discuss several main themes with persons with disabilities, experts and those involved in this sector.

The Nationalist party is continuously working towards putting the individual at the centre of attention, including persons with disabilities, to ensure that every person in the country can reach their full potential and live a satisfactory life.

On this day, PN took the opportunity to acknowledge the work and dedication of all those who aid and support persons with disabilities throughout the year. PN said that their work requires more support and recognition. The party’s proposals will ensure this as well, it promised.

Being conscious of the difficulties which persons with disabilities face in Malta, including when it comes to services, inclusion, accessibility, education, and work, PN said that it will continue to be committed to work with persons of disabilities in Malta and Gozo to ensure a better life.
