Disciplined forces, including police, start getting their Covid-19 booster appointments
Workers in Malta’s disciplined forces have started getting their Covid19 booster appointments, the Health Ministry announced on Thursday.
The ministry said that SMS’ have been sent to the members of the Armed Forces of Malta, the Police Force, the Civil Protection Department, LESA, and workers from Corradino Correctional Facility.
The vaccination process of this cohort is expected to be completed in the coming days, the ministry said.
The move comes after pressure and consternation from the union representing members of the police force, who issued industrial directives over the lack of the booster doses.
