Man grievously injured after car crashes into tractor

A man was grievously injured, after a car crashed into a tractor which he was driving in Gozo, as on Friday morning.

Police said in a statement that a 29-year-old man from Xewkija was hospitalised, after a traffic accident in Triq l-Għarb, as in Għarb on Friday at 7am.

Preliminary investigations showed that the crash was between a tractor, which the man was driving, and a Toyota Auris being driven by a 47-year-old woman from San Lawrenz.

The man was given first aid on site, and was taken by ambulance to the Gozo General Hospital, where he was certified as suffering from grievous injuries.

Police said that their investigations are still ongoing.
