GSSE2023 essay and writing competition launched
The Maltese Olympic Commit‐ tee and the Ministry for Educa‐ tion, Sport, Youth Research and Innovation announced the launch of an Essay and Poetry Writing Competition on the topic of the Games of the Small States of Europe, which will be hosted in Malta in 2023.
Submissions, which can be sent in English or Maltese should fea‐ ture one of the six chosen theme which include Competition in Sport, Health in Sport, Enjoy‐ ment in Sport, Malta at the Olympic Games, The Games of the Small States of Europe and/or The History of Maltese Sport. There will be no word limit for such entries.
Digital format submissions from Primary (Year 5 and 6 only), Middle (Year 7 and 8), Sec‐ ondary (Year 9, 10 and 11) are to be sent to Ms. Miriam Aquilina (miriam.aquilina@ilearn.edu.mt ) by not later than Friday 20th January 2023. Late submissions will not be considered.
A Certificate of Publication will be presented to all participants, whilst the top 50 submissions will be included in a commemo‐ rative bilingual educational pub‐ lication, whilst authors of the top three submissions will receive a package of GSSE Malta 2023 merchandise.
