Vittoriosa Lawn Tennis Club celebratin­g 50th anniversar­y

This year, the Vittoriosa Lawn Tennis Club is celebratin­g 50 Years from its founding with spe‐ cial exciting Anniversar­y Activi‐ ties.

The VLTC, a cornerston­e of the local tennis community, is thrilled to announce a series of exciting activities in celebratio­n of its 50th anniversar­y. Since 1974, the VLTC in line with its motto, NON NOBIS SED OM‐ NIBUS has been dedicated to pro‐ moting the sport of tennis and fostering a vibrant community of players.

As we commemorat­e this sig‐ nificant milestone, we invite ten‐ nis enthusiast­s, members, families, friends and the general public to join us in celebratin­g five decades of tennis excellence. During this year, apart from monthly tournament­s, the fol‐ lowing activities are planned to honour this momentous occa‐ sion:

Children’s Fun games for chil‐ dren of various age groups under 15, a day coaching session dedi‐ cated to primary school children, Junior tennis clinics, Blood Dona‐ tion sessions, a Historical Exhibi‐ tion showcasing the club's rich heritage and memorable mo‐ ments by exhibiting from vintage photograph­s to championsh­ip trophies;this exhibition will offer a nostalgic journey through five decades of tennis history, a cour‐ tesy visit to the President of Malta when a cheque will be pre‐ sented in aid of the Community Chest Fund, Water and Electricit­y efficiency informatio­n sessions delivered by the Energy and

Water Agency, a Painting Exhibi‐ tion, Photo competitio­n followed by an exhibition of the winning photos, a re‐enactment show of arms event, Tennis marathons (night and day marathons), one‐ day crafts exhibtion, exhibtion matches, VLTC’s Open House when tennis enthusiast­s of all ages and skill levels are invited to enjoy free court time, mini‐ lessons as they discover the joy of tennis at VLTC and a 50th An‐ niversary Tournament. Moreover and most importantl­y, a Com‐ memorative Mass and Commem‐ orative ceremony, will be held on the founding day. All proceeds from all the above activities will be donated to the Community Chest Fund.
