Leverkusen remain unbeaten and will now face Atalanta in Dublin
Olympiacos play against Fiorentina in the Conference League final
Bayer Leverkusen came from two goals down to maintain their unbeaten season record and move to the final of the Eu‐ ropa League, where they will face Atalanta in Dublin.
In the other semi final Ata‐ lanta crushed Marseille 3‐0 to qualify 4‐1 on aggregate for their first ever European final.
Bayer Leverkusen started the match with a two‐goal cushion after their 2‐0 victory at the Olimpico, but Roma came back in the tie when Paredes scored from the penalty spot just be‐ fore half time.
Half way through the second half Roma were awarded a sec‐ ond penalty for a handling in‐ fringement and again Paredes made no mistake from the penalty spot to level the tie on aggregate.
But Leverkusen’s never say die attitude put them back on course eight minutes from time when Mancini committed an unlucky own goal.
With qualification to the final almost secured Leverkusen pushed forward to save their unbeaten status and they man‐ aged to save the game on 97 minutes through substitute Stanisic.
In Bergamo Atalanta reached their first ever European final beating Marseille 3‐0. For Ata‐ lanta this is the second final of the season as they still have to face Juventus in the Coppa Italia final.
Lookman opened the account on the half hour and Ruggeri doubled the score on 52 min‐ utes.
Deep in stoppage time Ata‐ lanta scored a third goal through Toure.
In the Conference League Olympiacos eased to the final where they will face Fiorentina who eliminated Brugge on
Wednesday.
With a commanding 4‐2 lead from Villa Park, Olympiacos completed the qualification with a 2‐0 victory to reach the final 6‐2 on aggregate.
The Conference League final will be played on Wednesday 29th May at the AEK Arena in Athens.
