Michele Marcolini selects squad for June friendlies

-

As the IZIBET FA Trophy con‐ cludes season 2023/2024, the focus now shifts to the national team's upcoming commitments in the June international win‐ dow. National Teams Head Coach Michele Marcolini wasted no time, revealing a 30‐man squad set to partake in a rigor‐ ous pre‐international window training camp starting next Thursday 16th May. The antici‐ pation builds as Malta prepares to engage in two international friendlies whilst on a training camp in Austria: first against the Czech Republic on June 7th, fol‐ lowed by a game against Greece on June 11th. Both games will be played at the Stadion Grödig in Austria.

Marcolini's squad selection sees the return of familiar faces, with Jurgen Degabriele, Alexan‐ der Satariano, Luke Tabone, and Jake Grech once again receiving the call‐up after being absent in the previous international win‐ dow. However, there are new ad‐ ditions to the selection as well, with Matias Garcia earning his maiden call‐up under Marcolini's reign. Additionally, the return of Ryan Camenzuli, who missed out on the last international window due to injury, adds depth and ex‐ perience to the squad.
