EEN internationalisation events

-

The Enterprise Europe Network office within Malta Enterprise is organising a series of events over the coming months with the aim of helping local enterprises explore new business opportunities and find prospective partners in other member states of the network.

The first of these events will be the Unlocking the Potential - Malta B2B, which is going to be held over a span of two days between April 17th and 18th, 2013 at the Radisson Blu Resort, St Julian’s.

Over 50 companies from more than six countries have already registered for this event, though the attendance is expected to increase as the event gets closer. Indeed, a similar B2B event held two years ago had attracted the participation of almost 200 companies from Malta and the other EEN member states.

The event will once again provide participants with the opportunity to broaden their contacts and meet up with numerous companies, with whom they could discuss prospective business initiatives and collaborations.

Advanced manufacturing, aviation, digital games production, food and beverages, life sciences, logistics, maritime, renewable energy, as well as sustainable construction are among the sectors which will be focused upon in the B2B.

During the event Information Sessions regarding Business Opportunities in the Euro-Med Region, Innovation in Business, Family Businesses, Procurement Opportunities in the World Bank & Social Networking will also be organised and delivered by key expert speakers.

Additionally, the EUREKA! Café will once again be running simultaneously throughout the two days showcasing European project consortia looking for relevant partners.

A few weeks later, precisely between May 7th and 8th, 2013, the EEN office within Malta Enterprise will be organising a company mission to Sicily in collaboration with the Confederazione Nazionale dell’Artigianato and COEXPORT.

The business event will be particularly aimed at sectors such as sustainable construction, interior design, renewable energy, water management, engineering and industrial maintenance, automotive, plastic products, and rubber injection moulding.

Besides exploring opportunities within the nearby Sicilian market, the local companies partaking in this company mission will also have the chance to meet their counterparts in pre-arranged oneto-one meetings aimed at bringing together the entrepreneurs from the two countries.

These events will be followed by a number of brokerage events in a variety of sectors in the following months, namely the World IT Show 2013 being held in Seoul, Korea between May 22nd and 23rd; the Asia-EU Matchmaking Event being held in Beijing, China between May 22nd and 26th; the International Exhibition for Transport, Logistics, Mobility, IT and Supply Chain Management being held in Munich, Germany between June 4th and 7th; and Futurallia being held between June 5th and 7th in Istanbul, Turkey.
