Coffee lovers unite! Join Nescafé in creating global 24-hour Facebook live stream
In an effort to acknowledge how coffee forms part of our daily lives and how Nescafé brings people together, Nescafé is celebrating International Coffee Day on Saturday, 1 October in the most spectacular way by linking the world with a red Nescafé mug online. Consumers are being encouraged to film selfie videos bringing a mug of coffee from the right hand side, take a sip and pass it on to the left hand side.
Good Morning World will follow the sunrise around the globe, giving viewers an insight into how people around the world are starting their days. This will create a magical effect of linking the world with a red Nescafé mug on International Coffee Day, creating the first virtual World Nescafé red mug chain, with the first ever 24-hour live feed.
Nescafé Malta are inviting consumers and influencers alike to embark on this fantastic project by taking a mug-passing selfie video of a minimum 5 seconds, maximum 20 seconds, and joining the mug chain. This is a great opportunity for participants to show the world what a beautiful country Malta is, by selecting striking cultural Maltese backdrops for their videos.
Participants need to upload their videos on the Nescafé Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/Nescafe.MT/. It is of the utmost importance that both hash tags, #GoodMorningWorld and #Malta are included in the post of the videos as this is the way the videos will be collected.
Nestlé Malta will be donating €1 to Puttinu Cares for every video participation while Nescafe will gift a coffee plantlet to a farmer around the globe.
So celebrate International Coffee Day by joining Nescafé on this video global initiative.
Michael Chrisment, head of Global Integrated Marketing at Nescafé, said: “Wherever you go in the world, you’ll find people starting the day with a great cup of coffee. Few things connect us in the same way. Good Morning World unites everyone around the globe in celebrating the simple act of drinking a cup of coffee but in a way that recognises what makes each of us unique. It’s a truly global initiative and one that we hope will show that we’re all more alike than we are different, if only we could find ways to connect with each other.”
