Malta is the best place to relocate to if you’re LGBTQ+
Expert Market has just released an original new study indicating the best European countries to move to if you’re young, LGBTQ+ and want to work abroad. Malta came in at number one, topping the list against some of its larger competitors!
Following the call from The European Court of Justice for same-sex spouses to receive residential rights in all European countries, Expert Market wanted to calculate which EU country allows young LGBTQ+ professionals comfort in that of safety and fair treatment with a rewarding work-life balance.
The study investigated 26 different European countries looking at lifestyle and employment factors that indicated the most ideal country for young adults identifying as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer or questioning individual to emigrate to taking into account everything from employment rights on sexual orientation and gender identity, to renting costs and countries safety scores. The study takes into account a large number of data points, from laws against hate crime to equal employment rights, with LGBTQ focused issues being given a greater final emphasis than day to day costs. As such, this study provides an incredibly accurate, holistic picture of the best countries to live and work in if you are LGBTQ+.
