Air Malta flies to Kiev for Champions League Final

The Malta Business Weekly - - FRONT PAGE -

Air Malta will be operating a charter flight for 168 football supporters to attend this year’s final of the UEFA Champions League match after a local organiser managed to sell all seats in a matter of days.

The Saturday 26 May final between Real Madrid and Liverpool, has drawn a lot of local interest due to the considerable following of both teams in Malta.

Kiev is one of Air Malta’s new summer routes with weekly scheduled services starting on Tuesday, 19 June. Travel between the two countries is visa free for both Ukrainians and Maltese tourists.

Although the schedule only starts on 19 June, it was seen as a good idea to do this special flight. Initially it was planned to sell the flight through the Air Malta systems, however the pre-registration for the flights was overwhelming and the flight is already sold out.

Air Malta prides itself on being able to react fast on these events and will continue doing so in the years to come.

For travel with Air Malta, customers can book flights through www.air, by calling Air Malta’s Call Centre on +356 2166 2211 in Malta or from Air Malta sales office at MIA or from travel agents in Malta and Ukraine.
