Air Malta issues rescue fare for Cobalt Air stranded passengers

-

The Cypriot carrier has cancelled all its flights and indefinitely suspended operations, advising customers not to go to the airport. Consequently, Air Malta has issued a rescue fare for stranded Cobalt Air passengers: €50 fare per sector on the airline’s flights to Zurich, London, Paris, Dusseldorf, Moscow and Tel Aviv to/from Malta. Price excludes taxes and charges. Tickets are offered on standby/availability basis.

These fares are being offered following a request from the Cypriot Civil Aviation Authority who has asked IATA airlines to activate a voluntary commitment (rescue fares) in order to help repatriate Cobalt passengers stranded in Europe, Russia and in the Middle East.

Bookings can be made through Air Malta’s call centre on +356 2166 2211 until the end of this month with travel open until the end of November.
