Jesmond Mizzi Financial Advisors Limited appoints general manager
Jesmond Mizzi Financial Advisors Limited recently appointed Jacques Ellul Soler as general manager.
Jacques has over 15 years’ experience in the financial services industry and prior to his employment with JMFA acted as a fund manager of an investment manager firm based in London. For a number of years he also acted as director of various investment manager firms and also formed part of investment committees for several local regulated entities.
Earlier in his career Jacques worked for a Malta-based (UK offshore) financial services company with a mandate of around €2bn under management. Throughout these years, he occupied several senior positions, among which was a Wealth manager in which he serviced and regularly reviewed new and existing high net worth clients’ investment portfolios. Subsequently he was nominated the firm’s head Investment Analyst, responsible for conducting economic, financial market and fund research and analysis. He assisted the firm’s financial advisors in dealing with technical and complex investment issues.
Jacques received his Master’s Degree in Business Administration in 2007 and prior to that a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) Banking and Finance degree in 2002, both from the University of Malta. He further obtained the Certificate for Financial Advisors (CeFA) from the Institute of Financial Services in 2008 and the Investment Management Certificate from the CFA Society of the UK in 2011.
