The 2018 MIM Marketing Gathering in collaboration with the European Marketing Confederation

-

Digital Business Excellence – Successful vs. Non-Successful Digital Transformations by Prof. Dr Ralf Strauss and The power of Marketing − How an organisation may gain a competitive edge through incorporating a marketing mindset in its vision, mission and values by Rosita Wolfe, are the two main keynote speeches being delivered in this year’s MIM Marketing Gathering happening at the Luzzu Conference Centre in Qawra on Friday, 16 November.

Digital transformation is a hot topic for companies across the globe. Executives in all industries use digital advances such as analytics, mobility, social media and smart embedded devices to reshape customer relationships, internal processes and value propositions. At the same time, executives across different industries in marketing and sales realise how quickly digital technology has disrupted industries (such as media) in the past decade and now know they need to pay attention to changes in their own industries. The majority of executives are aware of the pressures they feel from competitors and customers to speed up their digital transformation. However, organisations adopt digitally driven changes at varying paces and experience varying levels of success.

Still the fear exists on what the best way would be to truly reshape their businesses and business models through digital transformation. Other companies gain some value from transforming parts of their businesses, but are only partially fulfilling their true potential through digital transformation and some have not yet begun their digital transformation journeys. Therefore, Dr Strauss will describe patterns in digitalisation, namely the differences between successful and non-successful companies.

Wolfe will deliver a keynote speech on how to build a marketing culture in an organisation that is customer centric and that considers the latest trends and developments including brand, corporate identity, CX and content marketing, among others. Participants will be exposed to real-life success stories from companies around the world and lessons learnt.
