The internal audit function within iGaming companies
Mazars Malta, a member firm of international audit and advisory group Mazars, will be organising the third of its 2018 series of information sessions branded Made simple, by Mazars, on 15 November.
The upcoming workshop, which will be held at The Victoria Hotel, Palazzo Capua in Sliema, will tackle the setting up of the internal audit function within iGaming companies.
The objective of the Made Simple, by Mazars sessions is to make it possible and convenient for end-customers to receive practical information by professionals, particularly from a fiscal, financial and regulatory perspective, which can help them make the right decisions for their business and for their own personal wellbeing. This initiative is in line with Mazars Malta’s business advisory mission and its reputation as a provider of personal services and quality advice.
The Made Simple, by Mazars workshops are delivered by experts from within Mazars’ team and generally take on a very hands-on approach. The forth- coming session is specifically targeted at directors, heads of Compliance, key officials, chief Financial officers and heads of Legal Services of iGaming companies in Malta.
Mazars Malta partner Alan Craig explained that “our workshop will deal with how to ensure compliance with all regulations and best practices relating to iGaming legislation with respect to internal auditing. We shall be discussing the pre-requisites for establishing an internal audit function, as well as the different internal audit function arrangements and setups. Furthermore, we shall outline the requirements for designing a function that adds value and contributes towards efficiency and effectiveness, including reporting lines and processes, internal audit planning and audit execution. Throughout the session, we will be addressing frequently asked questions in relation to internal audit and the iGaming industry”.
